This Privacy Policy describes how La Forge (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit our website at laforge.work(the “Site”) or interact with us through the contact form or the member area.

This policy does not govern the use of the applications we publish on the Atlassian Marketplace (including Multiple Assignees and Merge Assistant). Each of those apps has its own privacy policy, available from its Atlassian Marketplace listing.

By using the Site, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

We collect only the information needed to operate the Site and respond to you.

Information you provide directly:

• Contact form — when you submit the form on /contact, we collect your name, email address, optional company name, and the message you send.
• Sign in — when you create an account through Google Sign-In, we receive your name, email address, and a Google profile identifier from Google.

Information collected automatically:

• Technical data — our hosting provider logs basic technical information when you visit the Site, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, the page requested, and the time of the request. This is used for security, troubleshooting, and aggregate traffic analysis.
• Authentication cookies — when you sign in, our authentication provider sets cookies on your browser to keep you signed in.

We do not use third-party advertising trackers or profiling analytics.

We use the information we collect to:

• reply to inquiries you send through the contact form;
• authenticate you and operate the member area;
• provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Site;
• comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

We rely on a small number of trusted service providers strictly to operate the Site:

• Supabase Inc. — authentication and database services (privacy policy).
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) — hosting (Amplify) and email delivery (SES) (privacy notice).
• Google LLC — Google Sign-In, only when you choose to sign in with Google (privacy policy).

These providers are bound by their own agreements to process data only on our behalf and to keep it secure.

We are based in Dover, Delaware, USA, and our service providers may process data in the United States or other countries. By using the Site, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries that may have data protection laws different from those of your country.

• Contact form messages — retained for as long as needed to handle your request and to meet our record-keeping obligations.
• Account data — kept while your account is active, and deleted on request or after a prolonged period of inactivity.
• Server logs — typically retained for a few weeks for security purposes.

Depending on your location (notably in the EU/EEA, the United Kingdom, or California), you may have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you,
• correct inaccurate data,
• request deletion (“right to be forgotten”),
• object to or restrict certain processing,
• receive a portable copy of your data.

To exercise any of these rights, use the contact form. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe, generally within 30 days.

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information — encryption in transit (HTTPS), strict access controls, and partnerships with security-vetted providers. No method of transmission over the Internet is, however, 100% secure.

The Site is not directed at children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site.
